Wanda Lee Morrison Davis passed away on February 15, 2024. Wanda was born in Algoma, MS on May 8, 1944, the youngest child of Jim and Girdie Morrison. She married the love of her life, Bobby Gene Davis on September 10, 1960. She loved Mississippi State sports, and her family attended football and basketball games for many years. After high school, Wanda worked for Pontotoc Electric Power Association until she retired after 45 years of service. During her lifetime she was active in many civic clubs and also served on community and church leadership committees. She was a devoted wife, helping Bobby after work and on weekends shooting lasting memories for so many events. They had two sons, Ted and Tracy. Through her life’s journey, Wanda was a devoted daughter, sister, loving wife, proud mother, and grandmother (Banmama), and friend. She loved the Lord and was a devoted, active member of First Baptist Church of Pontotoc most of her life. She was a loving Sunday School teacher for many years and enjoyed her precious Water Lillies group.
She leaves behind 1 son, Tracy Davis and his wife Michele, her sister Shirley Young, 1 grandson Blake Davis (Abby) and his mom Darlene Davis, 2 granddaughters Madison Watson (Chase), Ashton Davis (Brae), and their mother Angie Davis, her great granddaughter Maelyn, and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Bobby, her parents, her son, Ted, her brothers, LD Morrison, Buddy Morrison, and Royce Morrison and her sisters, Christine Klutts, Earlene Roberts, and Virginia McGuire.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Pontotoc Saturday February 17th 3pm-6pm. Services will be at the church on Sunday February 18th at 2:30pm, with visitation beginning at 1:30pm. Burial will follow in Pontotoc City Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Wally Henry, Jamie Mitchell, Wesley Walls, David Ferguson, Terry Lynn Donaldson, Mickey Mapp, and Ben Howard.
