Wanda Kay Garth – Obituary

OI101308636_GarthWandaKWanda Kay Garth was born September 7, 1956 in Lawrence County, AL, to the late Eddie Cohen and the late Julia Walker (Lyle).

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined David Temple P.B. Church. She graduated from Courtland High School in 1974.

On November 29, 2014 the sweet spirit of our dear sister’s name was called and answered. She was a delight to her friends and a joy to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Eugene Walker.

Wanda Kay will always be remembered by her family and community as a helper. She was a very hardworker. She was a caregiver, gardener and she was very creative. She loved her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son: Braderick (Kristy) Garth of Hillsboro, AL; two daughters: Latoya Garth of Courtland,AL and Jasmine Mosley of Town Creek, AL, three grandchildren: Makenya, Timothy (Dylynn) and Zariyah; two brothers: Charles Brown and Hildreth Lyle Jr. (Tyara) of Decatur, AL, one sister: Sara Lyle Sanders (Jarvis) of Trinity, AL, one great aunt: Annie M. Campbell of Hillsboro, AL, two devoted friends: Linda Thompson of Decatur, AL and Ezell Spears (Boo) of Hillsboro, AL and a host of relatives and friends.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, December 6th. at 12:00 noon at David Temple Primitive Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Burial of her cremains will follow in Foster Davis Cemetery.
