Mrs. Wanda Jean Watkins, age 77 of Killen, passed away on Tuesday, March 5,2024. Services will be held at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ on Saturday, March 9 beginning at 1pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8 at Elkins East Chapel in Killen from 6pm-8pm. Burial will be at Bluewater Cemetery immediately following Saturday’s service.
Mrs. Watkins was a seamstress by trade and enjoyed many other creative outlets. Her hobbies included crafting, canning , and cooking. She also enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers. She also loved caring for her cats. What she loved most, however, was seeing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her whole world.
Mrs. Watkins was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jackie Watkins; sons, Sam McGill (Mechelle) and Jody Watkins (Crissey); step-children, Cyndi Hollis and Kevin Watkins; son-in-law, Kevin McCafferty; grandchildren, Reagan Watkins, Kaylee Watkins, Trinity McGill (Keli), Brandon McCafferty (Jazmine), and Nathanial McCafferty; step grandchildren, Christa and Mindi; great-grandchildren, Carson McGill and Aubree McGill; step great-grandchildren, Keyara Watkins and Trey; siblings, Joyce White, Donnie McGee, Ronnie McGee, Mae Voss, and Sheree Dunn; and Numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer McGee and Sarah Jackson; a daughter, Angela McCafferty; and siblings, Kathy Lovelady and Doris Butler.
