Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Wanda Jean Kelley McGee, a life-long resident of Winchester. Mrs. McGee went to be with the Lord and loved ones on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the age of 76. She was a 1963 graduate of Franklin County High School and a long-time and faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. In her early years, she worked at the hat factory. She later went to work for Hammers as a bookkeeper. In 1981 she joined Franklin County Bank and retired in 2000 from Regions Bank. After her retirement from banking, she worked with her son, Stacy Solomon, as a bookkeeper. She retired from that job in 2011 to spend more time with her husband and family. Everyone who knew her will remember her as a very kind, caring and compassionate person who had the capacity to love everyone genuinely from the bottom of her heart. Upon her passing from this life, she was greeted into the Heavenly Kingdom by her husband of 44 years, Willard Lesley McGee, her mother, Mary Elizabeth Anderson Kelley, her father, Robert Lee Kelley and her surviving siblings, Charles Ray Kelley, Patricia Kelley Baker, Sarah Kelley Butler, William Robert “Bob” Kelley and Elizabeth “Lib” Kelley. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing, her sons, Stacy (Denise) Solomon and Robin McGee, both of Winchester; grandchildren, Chancz (Lauren) McGee of Spring Hill, TN and Carly McGee of Columbia, TN and great-grandchild, Lawson Taylor McGee also of Spring Hill, TN; siblings, James “Jim” Kelly, Mary (Moose) Kelley Sutton, Richard Glen Kelley and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home on Saturday July 3, 2021 between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m. The funeral service will commence at 3 p.m. with Pastor David Baker of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist church officiating. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Sutton, Michael “Eddie” Phillips, Mike Kelley and Jeff Butler.
