Wanda “Faye” Wallingsford, age 87, of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Faye was a teacher with Scottsboro City Schools for 36 years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Steven Screws and Rev. Corey Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Faye is survived by her sons, Tony (Tracy) Wallingsford and Rob Wallingsford; grandchildren, Butler Holland and Riley Holland; and several nieces and nephews.
Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Troy Wallingsford; parents, John and Mattie Carter; sister, Juanita Baird; and half-brother, Shorty Carter.
