Mrs. Wanda Dean Robinson Whisenant, age 88, of Morgan City Area of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Whisenant was born on April 15, 1933, to John Doyle and Eva Odell Waldrip Robinson. She lived in the Morgan City area for 71 years. She worked at home taking care of her family. Mrs. Whisenant enjoyed traveling, dancing, and eating out and she loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Whisenant leaves behind her sons, David C. Whisenant, Tim R. Whisenant; daughters, Joanie F. Whisenant (Buddy), Dian Bray (John L.), Sandra G. Whisenant, Carol Walter (Perry), Jolene Parker (Jimmy); brother, Johnny Robinson; sisters, Hazel Childers, Jackie Jacobs (Tommy); 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Mrs. Whisenant is preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Whisenant; parents Doyle and Odell Robinson; son, H. Ricky Whisenant; great grandchild, Taigen Black; 4 brothers and 1 sister.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City. A service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel with Brother Jason Bomar officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Grove Cemetery at Lacey’s Spring, AL.
Pallbearers escorting Mrs. Whisenant are Brad Black, Dustin Parker, Jacob Dendy, Devin Perkins, Chandler Bing, and Michael Childers. Honorary pallbearers are Hufton Decker and Lyndon Decker.
