Walter W. Matthews, 81, of Huntsville passed away Wednesday at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 42 years: Lois W. Matthews; his daughter: Judy Bush and husband: Kevin; his son: Kenneth Matthews and wife: Jennifer; one sister: Mary Rider and husband: John and five grandchildren: John David Bush, Katherine Bush, Daniel Bush, Laurel Matthews and Michael Matthews.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church chapel followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Seanor and Rev. Sidney Davis. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The First Baptist Church of Huntsville, American Cancer Society, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or the Salvation Army.
