Mr. Walter Wayne Shoulders b.k.a "Snap"Walter Shoulders was born in Huntsville Alabama June 28, 1957, to the late Annie M. Shoulders (Jones) and Jimmy L. Blackburn Both of Huntsville AL.

He gained his wings on November 4, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital Peacefully.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Stepfather Noble Jones, One sister Barbara Blackburn, Two uncles Sam Shoulders, Bobby Shoulders, Five Aunts Corrine King, Gladys Shoulders, Penny Shoulders, Peggy Shoulders, Mary Ruth Shoulders

Walter confessed Christ at a young age and joined Union Hill P.B. and Later Joined Potter’s Hand Church Ministries.

Walter graduated from Huntsville High School and attended Alabama A&M university Where he would later Join the US Army and graduate from Basic training at Ft. Jackson SC. and later served at Ft Campbell KY as well as Yeongsan South Korea as a military personnel specialist

Walter was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for his favorite team “The Alabama Crimson Tide”. He loved his extended family and was always there to tell a joke or give great advice to anyone who needed it and cook up a great meal.

Walter leaves to cherish his wife of over 40 years Denise Shoulders of Huntsville. One Son Drease Yarbro (Danean Yarbro) (Woodbridge VA). Three Daughters Aishia Shoulders (Huntsville) Brandi Allen (Louisville KY) Teshay Love (Baton Rouge LA). Seven Grandchildren Braneisha Allen, Alaiyah Allen both of (Louisville KY) Ji Wright (Tucson AZ) Harmony Love, Jeremiah Love (Baton Rouge LA) Heavyn, Laylah, Serenity Chase (Atlanta GA) Six Sisters Annie Francis Shoulders (Huntsville AL), Mary Shoulders Lanier (Colorado Springs), Joyce Wilson (Huntsville AL), Beatrice Blackburn, Teresa Blackburn, Mattie Blackburn all of (Huntsville AL). Five Brothers Randy Shoulders, Ronnie Shoulders, James     Blackburn, Jimmy Blackburn, David Blackburn All of (Huntsville AL). One Living Great Aunt whom he loved dearly Mary Milton of (Huntsville AL). His Best Friend since childhood that he considers a Brother Howard Gaines (Huntsville AL). Walter is also survived by hosts of nieces, nephews whom he helped raise and loved him unconditionally, A host of cousins, and in laws.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Progressive Union Missionary Baptist Church (1919 Brandontown Road NW, Huntsville, AL 35816) with Pastor Zachary Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mr. Shoulders will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2023, and 8:30 until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
