Mr. Walter Lonzo Horton Jr., 82, a native of Lauderdale County, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012. He had been a residence of Arizona for the past 56 years. Mr. Horton was a graduate of Central High School and a retired mechanic and automotive school instructor.
Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Horton and parents, Walter and Hattie Horton.
He is survived by sons, Jerry, Jeff and Brian Horton; 7 grandchildren; one nephew; sisters, Louise Dodd and Allene Carter.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10 -11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 11a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will Rev. Malcolm Scott. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery.
