He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Williams; parents, Dana & Riley Williams; son, Walt Williams, Jr.; brother, Carl S. Williams; grandparents, Floyd & Florence Myers; and in-laws, John & Lola Woodard.

He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Kathleen Williams (Dr. Dale Hubbard); grandchildren, Haley Williams (Crystal), Reilly Williams (Lauren), Madeline Williams; great granddaughters, Navy Williams and Crimson Williams.

He was the owner operator of Harold Williams Auto Paint & Body up until his retirement in 2006. He loved his family and enjoying all the activities he loved with them. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He shared this love with his son and grandsons. He was a long-time member of Elm Bluff hunting club and Duck’s Unlimited. He enjoyed his travels hunting and fishing to numerous states seeking to gain that trophy animal. He especially loved racing. He began racing as a young man and never missed an event he or his family were involved in until this past year as his health began to fail. His love of racing spanned any type of vehicle from stock car, motorcycle, off road 4X4’s, you name it. He was very excited to experience the joy of watching the fourth generation of mud track racing of his granddaughter, Navy Williams. He was recently inducted into the Mud Racing Hall of Fame. During the same event Navy was awarded the Rookie of the Year award. Both his son, Walt and grandson, Haley were award winners as well. Reilly fished with his granddaddy on their trip to Alaska. Each of the men in the family enjoyed traveling “out west” to elk hunt with their dad or papa. These storied trips were always a highlight of his tales. He was full of life and no one ever experienced a dull moment in his presence. He is and will be greatly missed and each of us will cherish the memories of our adventures with him!

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Walt Williams Golden Deeds Foundation.
