Walter Frederick Stietzel, age 95 of Horton, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at his home.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, 9363 US Hwy. 431, Albertville, Al. 35951. Pastor Elam and Pastor Horning will officiate his service. Pallbearers will be Jonathan
Bopp, Gary Long, David Moore, Jerry Cofield, Benny Tidwell and Ralph Dorsch. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stietzel is survived by his wife; Judith Bradley Stietzel, son; Walter Wayne Stietzel, Aiea Hawaii, daughters; Terry Joyce Eskaran (David), Kahuka, Hawaii, and Karen Lynne Bopp (Jonathan), Horton, Al., grandchildren; Walter Stietzel, Adam Eskaran, Aaron Eskaran, Diane Eskaran Rawlings, David Eskaran, Ammon Eskaran, Seth Bopp and Hannah Bopp, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter; Sharon Denise Stietzel, parents; Walter Eric and Florence Kellie Stietzel and his sister; Marion Stietzel Dettling.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Pastor Call at Christ Lutheran Church in Albertville.
Arrangements entrusted to Albertville Memorial Chapel.
