Wally has had many jobs but one of his biggest jobs was friend. He never failed to help someone out who was in need. He never sold anything but would “lend” things permanently to anyone who asked. He was well known and universally loved. He especially loved his family! His mother, Lavenia Ray Miles was his joy! He doted on her till her passing in 2014. He took her on trips and never missed a day of visiting with her. He loved his siblings as well. John Ray Miles, Rita Laine McReynolds (David Earl), Esther Berman (Chuck), Dicye Murphy (Billy), Kim Miles (Harley Burke), and Lonnice Fields (Rex). They have had many adventures together and shared their day to day lives to the fullest extent. They all have such similar traits that have bonded them forever.
He is survived not only by the above mentioned family but by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and even a few great greats! The newest addition is his namesake, Wally Wylde, his sister, Lonnice’s grandson. His extended family has also been near and dear to his heart. (Cynthia, Shane, Angel and Ann Marie) Along with family he leaves behind some of the best friends you could ask for. They include Prate Montgomery, Blake Garrard and Billy Petty.
He lived a full life, hunting, fishing, traveling, farming, and pursuing his love of music! He will be terribly missed and will continue to be loved and respected by all who knew him!
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Starkville, MS, with the memorial service immediately following.
