Walking Meth Lab Discovered In a Back Pack Near The Beltline……Two Arrested

meth 1DECATUR-Decatur Police discover a One-Pot Meth Lab in backpack being carried by a  woman walking down the railroad tracks  just south of the Beltline.  Here is how the officers describe the events leading up to the arrest of two women:

“On March 24, 2013 Officer Shawn Holmes of the Decatur Police Departments Patrol Division mademeth 2 contact with two white females, later identified as Breanna Lopez and Natasha Hardin, walking north bound on the railroad tracks just south of Beltline Road close to Central Parkway.

Hardin had a back pack on containing an active One-Pot Methamphetamine lab and other ingredients used in the manufacture of methamphetamine process. Officer Holmes made contact with Investigator Kirk Arrington of the Organized Crime and he responded to the scene. Officer Holmes also located drug use paraphernalia on both subjects.

Investigator Arrington charged Hardin and Lopez with Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree. Hardin and Lopez were also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both Hardin and Lopez were processed in the Decatur City jail and will later be transported to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,500.00 total bond each.”
