A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Wakeelah Na’imah Muhammad, 45, of Hartselle, Alabama will be noon Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Hartselle Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dewayne Tapscott eulogist and the Reverend Ivan Pride officiating. Inhumation will follow in Hartselle Memory Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Reynolds Funeral Home and the family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Wakeelah passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Decatur, Alabama and was born in Morgan County, Alabama on October 12, 1978 to the late Charlie and Jessie Turney Muhammad. She was a 1997 graduate of Danville High School.
Wakeelah, known by everyone as “Kee Kee” was a dutiful, kind and loving wife and mother. She was always looking to help her family and others in need in any way she could. She treasured time with family, and found joy in playing sweepstakes, which she became quite good at winning prizes. She was a loyal Michael Jackson fan that loved his music.
She was a dedicated and beloved employee at People’s Bank in Decatur, where she worked as a teller for 14 years.
She was preceded in death by: her son, Omar Fowler; parents Jessie Turney Muhammad and Charlie Muhammad; brothers, Calvin Muhammad and Fred Byars.
She is survived by: her loving husband, Chris Fowler; daughter, Aaliyah Fowler; oldest son, Dontay Muhammad; grandson, Khalyx Muhammad; two sisters, Latosha Henderson and Quantina Caldwell all of Hartselle, brothers, James Muhammad and Anthony Byars (Sherma) all of Atlanta, GA; mother and father-in-law, William and Virgie Fowler; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Fowler all of Danville; sister-in-law, Felisha Taylor of Merdianville as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Her smile, caring heart and joyful laugh will be missed and cherished by all who knew her.
