Waite Dykes, 68, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Waite was born on November 24, 1956 in Mobile but grew up in Huntsville. He attended Randolph School, Huntsville High School and Auburn University. Waite was an accomplished chemist. He was a huge Auburn football fan and loved spending time at the beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Hoyt Dykes. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Dykes and his children, Catherine Wilson, Julie Dykes and Dylan Dykes.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2025 beginning at 12:00 noon followed by a celebration of his life at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
