Wadene Craig Deason, 80, of Meridianville, passed away Thursday.
Wadene spoiled her whole family- her parents, husband, daughter, brothers, sister, nieces and nephews- with her absolute unconditional love. She was the closest thing we have ever known to an angel on this earth. She was always available when we needed her, a kind voice to give love and compassion. She loved books and reading, good coffee, the ballet, and George Strait. We will love and miss her forever.
She was preceded in death by father, Joe Wade Craig; mother, Clercia Cobb-Craig; husband, Elbert Bryman Deason, Jr.; brother, Bobby Joe Craig.
Surviving are daughter, Amanda Jo (David) Randall; brothers, George Bryant (Shirley) Craig, and Douglas Wayne (Ikiee) Craig; sister, Debbie Craig (Paul) Doss; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Doss, Brian Thomaston, John Thomaston, Pick Deason, Kenny Fowler, and David Thomaston.
Visitation will be Monday 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, Monday at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be in the Byrd Cemetery.
