Wade Mordecai was born December 10, 1935 in Millport, Alabama. Wade graduated from Millport High School in 1954. His passion for automobiles led him to a successful sales and sales management career in the automotive industry for over 35 years culminating with his own independent car dealership, Wade’s Auto Sales, prior to his retirement in 1997.

Wade married Betty Richards in 1957 and moved to Huntsville in 1960. They were blessed with the joy of raising a family together in Huntsville. He was faithful member of the Baptist Church and served as a Deacon at Lakewood Baptist Church.

He had a great appreciation for the Bible, reading, golfing, listening to gospel music, playing card games, and enjoying time with his family and friends.

Wade is preceded in death by his wife Betty of 62 years. He is survived by son Steve Mordecai and his wife Meg, son Greg Mordecai and his wife Kim, and grandchildren Alexis Mordecai and Lucas Mordecai and his wife Maggie.

At the Families request all services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Campus Outreach/Lucas and Maggie Mordecai.
