Wade Fulton “Bulldog” Clark

Wade Fulton “Bulldog” Clark, 79, of Jasper, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, May 20, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 12 until 2 p.m., at Jasper First United Methodist Church, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Service will follow at 2 p.m., at Jasper First United Methodist Church, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Alan Beasley and David Wallace will officiate.

Wade was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on January 13, 1943. After graduating from high school, Wade attended the University of Georgia, where he obtained a B.S. degree in Forestry.

Wade started his career with The Great Northern Paper Company in DeFuniak Springs, FL, where he met his wife Linda. Together they had two children Douglass and Wesley.

Wade loved spending time with his family on regular trips to the Smokey Mountains. Many have been blessed from Wade’s adventurous and generous spirit. He received the Kiwanis highest honor the George F. Hixson Fellowship award in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brooks and Ianthe Clark; siblings, Beryl Clark Branch, Clyde Clark, William Clark; and in-laws, Bert and Victoria Brannon.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Clark; sons, Douglass Clark (Beth) and Wesley Clark (Nikkie); grandchildren, Alex Clark and Abby Clark; brother, Barnett Clark and a host of nieces, nephew and friends.

Pallbearers will be Weston Griffith, Braden Griffith, Blake Walton, Mack O’Rear, Adam Moore, Scott Tuttle and Justin Key.
