Mr. W.T. Victory, Jr. (Vic/Buddy), age 80, of Murfreesboro, passed away Dec. 21, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. A native of Shelbyville, TN, he was a son of the late William Taft and Johnnie Ruth Griffin Victory. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Victory.
Mr. Victory was a graduate of Central High School in Shelbyville and attended MTSU, UT Nashville and Belmont University. He was a retired Vice-President of Baptist Hospital in Nashville and also retired from Dillard’s. He was a past President of the Nashville Hospital Personnel Society and past President of the Tennessee Society for Hospital Personnel Directors. Mr. Victory was a member of First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro where he served as an ordained Deacon. He was also an avid golfer.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Crick Victory of Murfreesboro; a son, Jeffrey Allen Victory of Wartrace; a daughter, Connie Victory (Ernie) Graves of Murfreesboro; a sister, Joan Arnold of Shelbyville; 3 grandsons, Phillip Graves, Luke Graves and Landon Victory Reasonover; a sister-in-law, Kathryn Victory of Shelbyville.
Visitation will be Fri., Dec. 26, 2014 from 10AM – 1130AM at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill. Visitation will continue at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna on Fri. from 3PM – 6PM. Graveside Services will be conducted on Sat., Dec. 27, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 11AM with Rev. Pam Pilote and Dr. Lenny Farmer officiating. Friends and family will serve as Pallbearers.
