W.L. “Bill” Gulley, 74, of Rogersville died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his residence surrounded by friends and family.
He was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force, a graduate of Athens State, chief police of Lexington, AL, over-the-road trucker and retired from TVA. He was a member of Gold Wing Road Rider Association.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 from 10 – 11 a.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Bill Barlow officiating. Burial will be in Corum Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Blazer, Jimmy Sneed, Ricky McDougal, Dearl Poss, Jimmy Hill, Jeff Ewan, Ethan Gulley and honorary, Elvis Garner.
Mr. Gulley was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard J. & Pearl I. Gulley. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dian Gulley; sons, Michael (Deborah) Gulley and Bruce (Rhonda) Gulley; daughters, Denice Higginbotham and Tina (Tim) Hammond; grandchildren, Ashley (Jared), Ethan, Rachel, Will, Stacie, Nathan and Reed; brother, Robert Allen Gulley; close friends, James and Donna; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends.
