Voyd “Buddy” Jackson, 84 of Huntsville, AL passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Buddy was born in Monrovia, AL on September 2, 1938. Buddy was preceded in death by his brother, William “Dub” Davis; sister, Catherine Skelton; sister, Louise Jourche; son, Christopher Jackson; and granddaughter, Rhonda Baker.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Clara Jackson; daughters, Jennifer Baker (Rob), Sherry Love, Angela Buchanan (William), Carlene Howser (Brian), Kim Waggoner (Tim); sons, Ronnie Jackson, Jerry Davis, Tony Riffe (Jenna); grandchildren, Seth Hensley (Brooke), Siara Bosworth (Thomas), Niki Curry (Jim), Bryan Wilkening, Brandon Waggoner, Brittany Terry (Evan), Ashley Waggoner, and Jackson Riffe. Many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends.
Buddy retired from Estes Trucking after 20+ years, and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL where he taught Sunday school. He loved his family deeply; enjoyed sports and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Fan.
You may visit with the family on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Terrell Boyd, will follow visitation at 12:00 pm in Valhalla’s Celebration Chapel.
