Vivian Rhodes Price, 91, of Sheffield passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her son, Bobby Price officiating. The burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mrs. Price was retired from the Sheffield School System after serving 15 years as the cafeteria manager and was a member of the Baptist Church. Vivian was a wonderful cook; she loved animals and loved her sons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Price; son, Charlie Price; parents, Charles and Amanda Rhodes; and four sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Price (Diane) and Steve Price (Lila); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a special neighbor, Ruth Darnell.
The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of the 2nd Station at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Facility and Southern Care Hospice, especially, Shawna. They also express thanks to Dr. John Bartmess and Dr. Lauren McCoy.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Colbert County Animal Shelter.
