Virginia Pauline “Polly” Kilpatrick, of Boaz, passed away peacefully on May 28 at the age of 98.
Polly was a loving and faithful encourage to all who knew her. As a true servant of God, she was a charter member of Second Baptist Church of Boaz and a dedicated Sunday school teacher for more than 70 years. She will be deeply missed and always remembered by all who knew her and her joyous spirit.
Polly is preceded in death by her husband Veston N. Kilpatrick; her parents Dennis and Nellie Green; brother J.D. (Sue) Green; and sister Lucille (CJ) Walters.
Polly is survived by her sister Peggy (Raymond) Whitt; Genell (and the late Jessie) Sanders; sons Jerry (Diann) Kilpatrick; daughter Jane (Jim) Bishop; five grandchildren Jon (Cara) Kilpatrick; Joe Van Kilpatrick; Brad (Mischa) Bishop; Jason Bishop; Meagan (Andy) Puckett; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at two o’clock in the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Union FCM Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. McRae Funeral Home directing.
Family will receive flowers or donations may be made to Second Baptist Church in memory of Polly.
