Virginia Lou Elkins, age 81, of Leighton, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013.
Visitation will be today, 1-3 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia.
Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Brother Mark Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Elkins was a member of Leighton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Weed; father, John L. Matthews; sister, Blanche Lancaster; sons-in-law, Ricky Aday, Randy Taylor and Shayne McClure.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, C. S. Elkins; son, Chris Elkins (Ti), of Tuscumbia; daughters, Cathy Elkins (Barry), of Tuscumbia, and Cindy Elkins McClure, of West Point, Miss.; four grandchildren, Chelsey Fouche (Grayson), Casey Elkins and Nick Lenz.
Pallbearers are Carl Utley, John Landers, Bennie Letsinger, Chris Letsinger, Andrea “Julio” McGhaee and Willie Joe Lewis.
