Virginia Lee Whitwell Bullman – Obituary

Virginia-Bullman-1429105725Virginia Lee Whitwell Bullman age 72 passed away April 15, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born August 13, 1942 in Humboldt and finished high school in Chester County, the daughter of the late J.B. and Arlene Lewis Whitwell. She married Clarence D. “Wayne” Bullman in 1951 and they made their home in the Sweetlips community. Mrs. Bullman had worked for Salant & Salant Mfg., Chester Sportswear, Chester Manufacturing and then as a CNA at the Chester County Nursing Home. Mr. Bullman died in 2000.

Mrs. Bullman was a devoted care giver, having taken care of Wayne until his death, and her mother and was a great provider for her grandchildren. She was a member of the Sweetlips Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bullman is survived by three sons, Johnny Bullman and wife Dixie, Jesse Bullman and wife Melonie and James Bullman and wife Crystal all of Henderson; five grandchildren, Justin Bullman, Lessie Bullman Cupples, Ashley Bullman, Joshua Bullman and Anna Pearl Bullman and two great grandchildren, Michael Bullman Cupples and Amelia Bullman Hatch; two sisters, Brenda Jeffers of Gary, IN and Dale Rhodes of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clarence D. ‘Wayne’ Bullman in 2000.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary and Bro. Ricky Tedford officiating and burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, McNairy County, TN.
