Virginia Lee Poe Bonner passed away on Jun 24, 2015 at South Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Owens Cross Roads,
AL.
Mrs. Bonner was born to Rex and Anna Poe on Oct. 16, 1930 in St. John, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver V. Bonner, Sr.; parents, Rex and Anna Holmes Poe; brother, Jesse Poe; and granddaughter-in-law, Holly Bonner. Mrs. Bonner was a member of First Baptist Church Moore’s Lane, Texarkana, TX; The Order of the Eastern Star; and the founder and “Queen” of the Yesterday’s Teens Red Hats.
She is survived by her son, Oliver V. Bonner, Jr. (Kathy), New Market, AL; two grandsons, Jason M. Bonner, Wake Village, TX; Preston A. Bonner (Jennifer), Hampton Cove, AL; and one step-grandson, Brian A. Stafford (Holly), Goldsboro, NC; three great-grandchildren, Trenton and Morgan Bonner, Wake Village, TX, Logan Bonner, Hampton Cove, AL; and two step-great-grandchildren, Sloan and Sydney Stafford, Goldsboro, NC; two sisters, Maxine Carey (Charles), Sherman, TX, Bertha Burnett (Ed), Corley, TX; one brother, Eldon Poe (Lura), New Boston, TX; sister-in-law, Nell Poe, Texarkana, TX; four nephews and five nieces.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 2, 2015 at 10 am at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Nash, TX.
