Virginia "Jenny" Watkins Houser Virginia (Jenny) W. Houser entered this life March 2, 1941 in Spring Hill, TN and departed April 27, 2022 in Spring Hill, TN.

 

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

 

She has lived in Franklin, TN for the past 50+ years. As a native Tennessean she grew up in Spring Hill and Columbia. She spent her time raising her family and caring for her grandchildren.

 

Virginia was a woman whom enjoyed life and showed that through her many hobbies and adventures. She volunteered with multiple organizations such as The Girl Scouts and Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, playing BINGO, and helping people with their ancestry as that was a passion of hers.  Her children remember times spent traveling to find wildflowers.

 

She is survived by her children, Georgette (Steve) Roberts, Melba (Billy) Inman, John Edward (Kim) Houser, Roy (Marianne) Houser, Andrew (Caitlin) Houser; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and brothers, Dan Watkins and Johnny Watkins.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Houser; parents, John B. Watkins and Francis Watkins; and brothers, Charles Watkins and Douglas Watkins.

 

The family would like to thank Lantern of Spring Hill for taking care mama!

 

Active pallbearers will be Bryce Roberts, Dustin Roberts, Jeremy Haskins, Austyn Kelley, Isaac Haynes, and Cannon Haynes.
