Virginia "Jenny" Anderson Profile Photo  Virginia “Jenny” Anderson, a beloved mother and grandmother, departed this world peacefully at the age of 86 in Jackson, TN. She was born in Savannah, TN on October 6, 1937 to the late William C. Michael, Sr. and Frances Higgins Michael. Jenny’s unwavering dedication to her family and her nurturing spirit touched the lives of all those around her.

Throughout her life, Jenny devoted herself to creating a warm and loving home for her family. She embraced the role of homemaker with grace and ensured that her loved ones were always well cared for. Her kindness extended beyond the walls of her home as she selflessly helped family members when they were sick, offering comfort and support during their times of need.

Jenny had a keen interest in gardening and took great pleasure in growing beautiful flowers. She had a green thumb that brought color and life to any space she touched. The joy that she found in tending to her garden reflected the love and care she showered upon her family.  Another passion of Jenny’s was basketball.  When she was able, she loved to play basketball.

Jenny was a graduate of West TN Business School, displaying her commitment to education throughout her life. Alongside raising a family, she understood the value of knowledge and sought personal growth through academic pursuits.

A woman defined by love and compassion, Jenny’s proudest accomplishment was undeniably her family. Her dedication to their happiness knew no bounds; she cherished every moment shared with them. Her commitment to fostering strong bonds amongst loved ones will forever be remembered as an enduring legacy.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Stanley (Jennifer) and Cheryl; sister, Mary DeLoach; and Drew, Aurora, and Levi.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James H. Anderson, Jr. and her siblings, William C. Michael, Jr., Ralph “Ed” Michael, and Betty Michael.

A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2023 at Ridgecrest Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Arrington Funeral Directors from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the graveside.  Bro. Bobby Keen to officiate.

Virginia “Jenny” Anderson touched the lives and hearts of all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. Her unwavering love, kindness, and selflessness will forever be cherished and remembered. Although she may be physically absent, her spirit will continue to shine through the memories she left behind.
