Virginia Ingram Brasfield

  Funeral services for Virginia Ingram Brasfield, age 93, will be held at 2pm Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry McDivett officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery near Crockett Mills, TN. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until 2pm Friday, August 21, 2020 in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Appropriate social distancing protocols with masks recommended as set forth by the CDC and the State of Tennessee will be observed for all services.

Mrs. Brasfield, passed away at AHC in Dyersburg, TN on August 17, 2020.

Mrs. Brasfield, was a graduate of Peabody High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Mrs. Brasfield taught school at Hornbeak, Spring Hill, Gibson, and completed her teaching career as a Special Ed. teacher at K. D. McKeller Elementary School in Milan. Mrs. Brasfield, was a Big Orange football fan and lifelong Baptist with her final membership at the First Baptist Church at Newbern, TN.

Mrs. Brasfield was preceded in death by; her husband Dorace Brasfield; her parents, Luther and Ora (Hay) Ingram; a sister, Esther Ingram; and three brothers John, Thomas, and Robert Ingram.

Mrs. Brasfield is survived by a daughter Nancy Brasfield of Memphis, TN; a son Andy and wife Kim Brasfield of Newbern, TN and a grandson Brooks and wife Morgan Brasfield of Nashville, TN.
