Virginia "Ginger" MorrisVirginia “Ginger” Morris, born September 12, 1946 passed from this world on January 13, 2020. She was born to James and Maude Esther Eddy of Cowan, TN. She had ben employed by Lanier Clothes, R & W Apparel and Wal Mart. Upon retirement, she enjoyed sleeping late, spending time with her family, and watching her favorite programs. She is survived by her husband, William “Toutor” Morris; son, Robert (Penny) Morris; daughters, Michelle (Sean) Earle, and Gwen (Chris) Zimmerman; and her loving niece, Lisa (Louis) Jones. Her pride and joy were her 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Barbara (Danny) Atnip; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie (Charles) Medley. She is preceded in death by her brother Jerry Eddy (surviving wife Judy), sisters, Betty Barnes, and Ann (Glenn) Simpson, brothers in law, Lonnie, Monnie, and Billy Morris, as well has her sister in law, Gail Scott. She had multiple nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. If preferred, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Blue Monarch at P O Box 1207, Monteagle, TN 37356 in memory of our mother and help us break the cycle of poverty, abuse, and addiction and give women and their children an opportunity to change their family tree.
