A graveside service for Mrs. Virginia Ann Mills, age 89, of Mt Juliet, TN will be held at 3pm on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held from 1pm until 2:30pm on Monday at Higgins.
Virginia was born January 15, 1934, in Giles County, TN to the late John C. and Katherine Virginia Mitchell Lanier. She worked as a secretary at the Vanderbilt School of Divinity, and also enjoyed being able to stay home and raise her family. Mrs. Mills was active in the church as youth pastor and Sunday School Teacher for many years. She passed away March 30, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
Survivors include children, Rik (Sherrie) Mills of Dallas, TX, Robert (Tracy) Mills of Cleveland, TN, and Catherine (Daryl) Brazier of Mt. Juliet, TN; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Lou (Carl, deceased) Holley of Pulaski; brother, Bobby Glen (Dorothy) Lanier of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Granville Mills.
