Virgil Leon Clark, age 76, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, October 09, 2020 at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from the Lawrence County Road Department, a dairy farmer, and attended Fishtrap-Canaan Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Clark served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Alexander and Bessie Bell Gobble Clark; two sisters, Fayetta Clark and Delcie Reid; and one brother, William “Bill” Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Clark of Lawrenceburg, TN; four children, Danny Clark (Vicky), Dinah Grooms (Steve), Deborah Melton, and David Clark (Gail), all of Lawrenceburg, TN; six sisters, Ellen Cross of IN, Edna Rinehart of OH, Sue Lynch of Ethridge, TN, Ann Nash of Summertown, TN, Betty Mobbs of Ethridge, TN, and Linda Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Jim Clark of Lawrenceburg, TN; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, 2020, with Danny Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
