Virgil Chism, age 91, of Tuscumbia, AL, died Thursday, November 7, 2013.
His family will receive friends Sunday, 2-3 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with funeral service following in the church sanctuary. His son, David Chism, and grandson, Benjamin Gray, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Mr. Chism was a member of Red Bud Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Nell Sanderson Chism; son, David Chism (Melissa); daughters, Dena Gray (John), Anna Kathryn Hardin (Mike); sister, Luna Bostick, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any organization that carries the Gospel of Christ to the world.
