Funeral for Violet Lavern Heaps, 94, of Moulton will be Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at 4 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Reverend Ed King officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Heaps died Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at NHC. She was born, June 8, 1922, to Emmit Shelton and Beulah Gillespie Shelton. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jackie Heaps; and husband, Clyde Heaps.
Survivors include one son, Roger Dale (Debbie) Heaps; one daughter, Wanda Ruth Cole (Ronnie Locke); one brother, Martin V. Shelton; sister, Madlyn Terry; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
