Viola Tankersley Ervin, age 92, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Thursday, November 28th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Viola was born February 2nd, 1932, in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late D. E. Tankersley and Ruth Martin Tankersley. She worked for many years in the sewing industry and later worked at Sanford for 20 years. She was a member of Berea Church of Christ. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, cooking, raising chickens, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Robert Cecil Ervin, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Lois (Jeff) Shockney of Taft, TN, and Barbara (Don) Thomas of Lewisburg; son, George (Rhonda) Ervin of Lewisburg; eleven grandchildren, Kendall Ervin, Ethan Ervin, Kayla Dunnivant, Beth Elswick, Robert Shockney, James Shockney, Daniel Shockney, Jonathan Thomas, Carrie Thomas, Nicholas Thomas, and Katie Flowers; nineteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Arlene Hickman, Linda Tindell, Betty Sharp, Jean Woodside, and Jeanette Crutcher.

Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm.

Graveside Service will be conducted on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Berea Cemetery in the Verona community.
