Vinemont Man Dies From Injuries Received In August 9 Motorcycle Accident

MOULTON-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a death from aa motorcycle accident that occurred on Friday, August 9:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. Friday, August 9, has claimed the life of a Vinemont man.

William J. Beard, 61, was seriously injured when the 2005 Yamaha V Star 1100 motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and overturned. Beard was thrown from the motorcycle and transported by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville for medical treatment.

On Sunday, Aug. 18, Beard succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The crash occurred on Alabama 157 near the 31 mile marker, approximately three miles southeast of Moulton, in Lawrence County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
