Vincent Samuel Galier, 83, of Florence, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 28, 2024. Arrangements are being handled by Williams Funeral Home, with private services to follow.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Lucille Galier; daughter, Kristi Lisette Galier; and siblings, Mickelena Schroeder, Peter Galier, Elenor Simon, and Victor Galier.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Kathleen Marie Galier; daughter Leah Galier Heathcoat; five grandchildren—Michelena Marshall, Katelyn Guard, Amanda Smallwood, Jake Heathcoat, and Kristen Reynolds; and eight great-grandchildren—Mackenzie Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Hailee Smallwood, Cameron Smallwood, Connor Guard, Lotus Marshall, Braden Guard, and Justice Reynolds. He is also remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A devout Catholic, Vincent served in the United States Army and took part in the Cuban Missile Crisis. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Barbara and Gary Coots, Jim and Denise Adamson, and all his grandchildren, as well as Kandace Robinson and the team at Amedisys Hospice.
