Graveside Services for Mr. Vincent L. Russo Sr, age 87 of Lineville, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Clay County Memory Gardens. Marine Corps Military Honors and Father Gali Balaswamy will officiate. There will be no public viewing prior to services.

Mr. Russo passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Lineville Health and Rehab. Mr. Russo was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and lived there most of his life. He entered into the U.S. Marine Corps out of High School, reached the rank of SGT, and was based in Okinawa, Japan. Once out of the military, he worked briefly for I.T.T. in Chicago where he met his wife, Arlene, and also worked for Stuart Warner Manufacturing as a purchasing agent, and for Mercury Metal Products in Schaumburg, Illinois. Mr. Russo and his wife settled in Naples, Florida after retirement. Mr. Russo enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Chicago Sports fan, coached and taught his son hockey when he was younger, and even attempted to play in the Major Leagues. Mr. Russo was a funny and goofy man, but was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather.

Mr. Russo is survived by two children: Kimberly Russo Luczynski (John) of Venice, FL and Vincent L. Russo Jr. (Rhonda) of Lineville; His grandchildren: Taylor Correa (Carlos), Luke Jaconis (Summer Pliskow), Stephen Drwal, Carmen Russo (Jordan Landers), Andrew Haynes, and Joshua Haynes (Victoria); three great-grandchildren: Camila Correa, Winter and Zepplin Haynes.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Vincent James and Mary Sortsek Russo; his wife, Arlene Theresa DiCenzo Russo; grandson, Kyle Jaconis, and one brother, Phil Russo.

Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers.
