Vilicia Marie Raines Woolard, 60, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Friday, September 1, 2023. Vilicia was born August 24, 1963, in Horn Lake to Jerry Dale Raines and Arnita Marie Glosson Raines. She grew up on a strawberry farm, learning the importance of hard work at a young age. Vilicia had many talents including being a seamstress and a natural caretaker of everyone around her. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, playing card games, and shopping especially at a yard sale. She loved her church group at Auburn Baptist Church and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Vilicia is survived by her children, Tamara Nicole Smith (Darryl), and Lawrence Watson both of Saltillo; three grandchildren, Dylan Poole (Elizabeth Wagster), Kaine Gardenier (Miranda), Dakota Seth Gardenier; two great-grandchildren, Elijah Poole and Greyson Gardenier; two sisters, Carlene Raines, and Angela Raines; one brother, Dewayne Glosson; and dear friend, Sherry Pearce.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Franklin Woolard, III; longtime companion, Robert “Bob” Franklin Woolard, Jr.; brothers, Richard Earl Raines, and Jerry Jerome Raines.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Pegues, Saltillo.
Services honoring Vilicia’s life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Ray Manning officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Watson, Kaine Gardenier, Matthew Mann, Dylan Poole, Matt Watson, Greg Finney, and Matt Peebles.
Steve Watson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
