Vicki was born on April 28th, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. She loved her home state and went back to visit frequently. Often staying for many weeks to spend precious time with her parents and siblings.
Vicki worked in Sales at Impress Communications in Atlanta, GA for many years; she was dedicated to ensuring her customers were always satisfied and enjoyed entertaining them. Vicki is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Rice; her daughter, Stacy Reid and partner Damon Genter; her grandchildren: Austin Reid (Ashley) and Victoria Blount (Brandon); her great-grandchildren: Rowan Reid, Alaric Graham-Reid, Aiden Reid, and Beckham Blount; her brothers: Steve Alberts and Larry Alberts (Coleen); her sister, Renee Boughton (Frank); her sisters-in-law: Barbara Rice, Katherine Thompson, and Gayle Chandler; her brother-in-law, Bobby Gene Rice; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Daisy and White Foot.
Vicki was preceded in death by her Father, Victor Alberts; her mother, Cora Alberts; brothers: Jimmy Alberts and Lee Alberts; Brothers-in-law: Harold Rice, Sherell Rice, and the many animals that she provided a loving home for.
Vicki will be remembered for her fiery spirit and abundant ability to make people smile. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her legacy is one of love and laughter.
The date for Vicki’s memorial service will be announced soon. It will be a time to celebrate her life, share stories, and find comfort in memories created.
“Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.”
– Harold Arlen
May her spirit soar among the stars and the moon, forever free from troubles.
