Victoria LaVette Bates

Victoria LaVette Bates was born on October 13th, 1964. She accepted Christ, at an early age as a member of Galilee Missionary Babtist Church in Leighton Alabama. Victoria was a graduate of Colbert County High School where she proudly recalled that she was a cheerleader and a flag girl. Later in life Victoria contributed to society in many ways, one of which was holding down a long-term job at Intimate Bakery in Rochester, New York where she relocated for several years. Up on her return to Alabama Victoria joined Emmanel Christian Center Church and was a devoted lover of Christ. Victoria also had an immense love of art and fashion and spent many years creating and crafting beautiful works of art and keeping up with fashion trends where she could. This passion was present up until the time of her passing. Victoria loved her family and was kind to most anyone that she met.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory:

Her sisters and brother, Mekkia Little (Joseph Little Jr.), Letha Brawley (Benny Brawley), Rodney Davis (Shenetta Davis)

Seven Aunts and Four Uncles

Evelyn Kellum, Clementine Sledge, Hattie Hood, Clara Wright, Louise Davis, Glinda Garner, Tracine Lewis (Edgar Lewis) Thomas Bates, Bobby Davis, Curtis Davis, Jim Davis.

Her sons Charles Sheridan (Antonina Gentile), Thomas Gamble (Tina Tran)

Four nieces and two nephews, Sade Davis, Yancy Brawley, Kirah Davis, Equilla Smith (Derrick Barber), Ferrin Smith (Sarah Welch) Mario Davis

Three Great Nieces and Two Great Nephews

Emery Barber, Ella Nora Smith, Jahzara Miller, Javon Garner, J’vonni Garner.

Along with a host of cousins and beloved extended family.
