Vicky Darlene Holcomb Mashburn, 59, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born in Booneville, MS to Charles R. and Nancy Bolton Holcomb. She worked as a store clerk and was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to go fishing and cooking. She loved hearing from her daughter and getting updates on her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 29, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Mike Deaton officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Mashburn; her mother, Nancy Watson; sister, Donna Austin (Walter); daughter, Leigh Ann Martin (Michael); three grandchildren, Mikey, Rayleigh and Courtney Martin and two nephews, Raben Smith and Ryan Gentles.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chester Holcomb (Maggie) and Robert Bolton (Jettie); her father, Charles R. Holcomb; sister, Lisa Gentles; brother-in-law, Jeff Gentles and a number of aunts and uncles that have gone before her.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
