Funeral service for Vickie Johnson Thomas, 68, will be Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chuck Bass officiating and Peck Funeral Home Directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Ms. Thomas died on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born November 18, 1955 in Morgan County to Price and Lucille Bradford Johnson. After graduation, she worked for Thomas Abstracting and then went to work at the Morgan County Tax appraisal office for 35 plus years. She was a member of Cedar Ridge Baptist Church and a devoted Christian and a blessing to all she was around. She was a loving, sweet and kind mother. Her life was an inspiration to all who knew her. She never complained although she had many tragedies in her life.
Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Zachary John Thomas. She devoted her life and health to taking care of Zach which was a trisomy survivor and lived to be 20. She fed him, bathed him and changed him for 20 years. He was a blessing to her whole family.
