Vicki Roden Cunningham, 68, died on November 7th, 2023, with her family by her side.

Vicki was born to the late Bobby and Fannie Roden. To know Vicki was to know she loved her little brother, John Roden and her brother in love Rick Fancy. She was so excited when they welcomed their daughter, Addison (15) to our family. She was married to Bobby Cunningham for forty-one years. Bobby and Vicki built a foundation of love and focused on their family.

She was a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, wit, and her unwavering love. Her legacy is carried on through her family and countless individuals she influenced throughout her life.

Vicki was a devoted mother and source of boundless love, guidance, and strength. She cherished every moment spent with her daughters, Ashley Bowling and Teri Holland (Jacob). Her grandchildren, Dorian Bowling (11), Scarlett Holland (7 months), and Hunter Holland (10) adored their nana. Vicki spent time creating last memories with her family, which will be cherished forever. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the values of empathy, perseverance, and the importance of family, leaving a remarkable legacy.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life to honor her Saturday, November 11th from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at New Sockwell Baptist Church in Leighton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital or a local school library in her memory.

Vicki will be eternally remembered and greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

Special thanks to the medical staff at Helen Keller ICU and Preferred Hospice Care.
