Vicki Elizabeth Arndt, 40, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the chapel prior to the service.
Vicki was born on July 3, 1983 in Decatur, Alabama to parents, Micheal S. and Evalyn McCarty Arndt. She graduated from Austin High School in 2001 and attended Auburn University. Vicki moved to Yellowstone in 2011 and met her future husband, Mathew, in 2012 snowboarding in Jackson, WY. She always referred to him as her best friend. They had their daughter, Ava, in 2016. Vicki was so proud of Ava and loved being a mom.
Vicki was close to her family in Decatur and these visits were some of her favorite memories. Vicki loved nature, beach trips, spending time with friends and family, playing games (dance off), and laughing hysterically at shared stories. She had a contagious smile and a great sense of humor; she was spontaneous and carefree. Vicki had a true zest for life and will forever be missed.
Vicki is survived by her parents; husband, Mathew Jonas Iberlin; daughter, Ava Hadley Iberlin; sister, Marie Arndt Barbee; brother, Adam Arndt; nieces, Meagan Barbee, Cydney Barbee, Hayden Barbee, and Caitlin Romtvedt; nephew, Brandon Barbee; mother-in-law, Simone Iberlin; grandmother-in-law, Dollie Iberlin; brother-in-law, Jason Iberlin; and two aunts and uncles, Mike and Berne Brown; and Margo Brown and David Romtvedt.
Vicki was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Albert and Grace Arndt; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ellie Heidecker McCarty; and grandfather-in-law, Simon Iberlin.
