Funeral for Vickey S. Rains, 66, of Decatur will be Friday, October 18, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rains, who died Monday, October 14, 2013, at UAB Hospital, was born July 21, 1947, in Alabama to Leonard and Jewel Keenum. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Toni Perry; and one brother, Leonard Keenum Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Lanny Rains; one son, Pete (Pat) Redding of Hillsboro; one daughter, Deeann (Mike) Mason of Columbia, Tenn.; one sister, Darlene Grimes of Decatur; six grandchildren, Danielle Perry, Allen Redding, Suzi Perry, Amber Davis, Mitchell Coffman and Jamie Coffman; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family.
