Vetress Belue Presley, 92, of Thursday, August 06, 2015, died Thursday, August 06, 2015, in Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She was born November 22, 1922 to Henry and Essie Belue. She owned a local business, Princes Beauty Shop in downtown Iuka for 13 years. She was an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church for 32 years, where she served as Treasurer. She was presently a member of Iuka Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School, G.A.’s, and worked in missions. Her love for her family and Sunday family dinners is where she shined. She was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 10 AM until 11 AM on Saturday, August 8 at Iuka Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Iuka Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Dwight South. Interment will follow in Belue Cemetery. Pallbearers include Connie Drown, James Grisham, Dr. Ben Kitchens, Bobby Gist, Earl Walker, and Jake Presley. Honorary bearer will be Allen Wayne Belue. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by 1 son – Hugh Presley (Cathy); 1 daughter – Charlotte Swimmer (Charles); 1 sister – Ocene Humber (Thurman); 2 grandchildren – Terri South (Mark) and Becky Smith (Brian); 6 great grandchildren – Jake Presley, Camden Presley, Grace Presley, Stephanie Holley, Breanna Freshour (Airman Will), and Addison Smith; and 2 great great grandchildren – Alysa and Serenity Holley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. V.T. Presley; one granddaughter, Amanda Presley; and one great grandson, Michael “Mikey” Alexander Justice Scott. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church Mission Fund.
