Vertie Mae Pinkard, age 90, Russellville, AL. (Union Community), passed away Tuesday December 3, 2024 at her home. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday December 8, 2024 from 12:00NOON – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 2:00PM in the chapel. Burial to follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Steve Pinkard (Shirley); brother, Leo James (Ruth); 4 grandchildren, Michele West, Brandi Busbee, Emily Howell and Tate Odem (Allison); 8 great grandchildren, Julie Wells, Bryant Hasheider, Dustin Busbee (Kelsey), Chloe, Emma, Clayton and Ella Bass; and Baby Odem; 7 great great grandchildren, Brodie and Brooks Wells, Addison, Brinley and Case Busbee; Harmony Busbee and Luke Lacey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlice Pinkard; daughter, Sheila Howell; grandson, Skyler Busbee; sisters, Shirley Hanson and Mildred Pinkard; brother, Pete James; parents, Early Lonzo James and Lula Adams James.
