Vertie Mae Eells, 69, of Smyrna, TN (formerly of Iron City, TN), passed away October 23, 2013 after an extended illness. Mrs. Eells was a native of Lawrence County, TN.

Daughters: Beverly Jan Collins, Tammy Wanett Owen, and Billie Mae Keel
Brother: James Michael Powell
Sisters: Vergie Nix and Violet Hindman

Mrs. Eells was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Lilly Powell; her husband Billy Royce Eells; her brothers Joe, Ement, and John Powell; and her sisters Mageline Clemmons and Loe Edna Gabel.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel with Jonathan Shephard officiating. Burial will be in Hollis Cemetery.
