Vernon L. Hayes, Jr., age 46 of Anniston, passed away on February 25, 2023, at his home. He is survived by his son, Cameron Douglas Hamner; daughter Erika Faith Hayes; unborn son, Dawson Lee Hayes; sister, Connie Gibbs; niece, Krystal M. Compton; and nephew, Jeffery F. Compton. Vernon was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon L. Hayes, Sr. and Erika M. Hayes. A gathering for close relatives and friends will be held at a later date at 18320 Chestnut Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.

As kids, we lived together
We fought, we laughed, we cried.
We did not always show the love,
